The Pharmacist is responsible for clinical oversight and management of the Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM). This includes regularly monitoring the PBM activities to ensure adherence to pertinent contracts, regulations and to remediate potential compliance deficiencies.
Develop and oversee work plans and procedures regarding pharmacy compliance. Develop and oversee monitoring activities to ensure compliance and identify areas of risk. Serve as business lead for external and internal regulatory investigations and audits. Ensure compliance with new rules, regulations, and revisions, as set forth by Federal and State law. Ensure that corrective action plans for non-compliance are developed, implemented and effective to mitigate risk. Develop and monitor team goals; provide ongoing feedback and coaching; conduct annual performance reviews; lead by example; routinely evaluate team comprehension and performance and ensure an atmosphere of open communication, teamwork and empowerment to make informed decisions. Additional duties as required.
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD degree Current license to practice Pharmacy in New York State Experience in Managed Care Pharmacy
Knowledge of pharmacy data or informatics Demonstrated professionalism and leadership skills along with the ability to develop, direct and support a team Outstanding communicator with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Excellent time and project management, communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills Extensive stakeholder/leadership engagement, development and training experience Intermediate skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (creating presentations and slides)
License/Certification (if applicable)
