HPE is looking for a dynamic professional to lead NPI through Sustaining on all Storage Products. This Director will lead a global team, driving operational excellence with high degrees of effectiveness and efficiency in all aspects of the business/function. We are looking for a leader that has a "Customer First, Customer Last: mindset with the goal of zero defects.
The Director Supply Chain Storage will work with cross-functional teams to bring innovative products to HPE customers efficiently. The right candidate will demonstrate domain expertise in material readiness, clear to build, supplier and contract manufacturer management, procurement, manufacturing and are well-versed in other aspects of operations and engineering that impact supply chain strategies and execution. This leader will work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain Operations, Supply and Demand Planning, and Contract Manufacturing and Supplier partners to launch new products and to implement processes and systems that directly scale new product deployments.
This position will report to the VP, Global Operations Engineering with a preferred location of San Jose, CA.
Drive material and supply chain readiness for all NPI builds from concept phase to production handoff, partnering with cross-functional teams.
Identify and communicate supply chain risks and mitigation plans to ensure materials readiness for NPI builds as well as supply continuity into production.
This team relies on the Procurement / Planning teams to be the primary liaison, manage materials budgets and buffers. We hold them accountable to deliver to their PDP commitments.
Develop and document global supply chain map for each product, including suppliers, procurement model, lead time, shipment logistics, assembly/test/fulfillment model and spares strategies.
Update project schedules, communicate status/risks and influence change. Represent the New Product Introduction Supply Chain organization in internal program meetings, driving initiatives and process improvements to help the team grow in scalability.
Knowledge and Skills:
Proven experience in developing, deploying, delivering, and governing an end-to-end Product Development Process in a complex industry / organization
Advanced program management and prioritization skills
Polished communication skills with the ability to cater to a wide variety of audiences in a large matrix organization
Advanced understanding of market place and industry business operations and standards
Ability to build forward-thinking partnerships with suppliers while focused on the day-to-day success of organization
Prior experience leading in a Lean Manufacturing environment
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
Use metrics to track progress and drive data based decision making
Strategic thinker who has created and implemented successful strategys for new product introduction.
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Engineering, Supply Chain or related field
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain
Significant Supply Chain and Operations background preferred, with experience in multiple disciplines
Experienced in managing large teams and/or organizations in complex/matrix environments
High energy and get it done personality
