Be part of a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex voice driven solutions within Honeywell. You will use your industry and solution experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Focused on providing customer solutions in a fast-paced environment, this position performs functional and system-level testing of Honeywell’s customized integrated voice solutions.The candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of detailed tests based on customization requirements.It may also be necessary to define and/or develop test utilities and scripts to perform these tests.The position requires the candidate to interface cross-functionally with other departments.The position requires effective communication (especially written) and problem solving skills.It is also required that the candidate is results oriented with the resolve for a high degree of quality, while balancing that resolve with the commitment to an on-time delivery.
ResponsibilitiesReview specification documents, change requests or statements of work for completeness, accuracy, and feasibility, and to prepare test documentation and work effort estimates.Develop test plans and review them as needed with other project members.Perform functional, integration, and system level testing to simulate customer use of Honeywell’s integrated voice solution. This includes installation, test setup, test execution, and reporting and tracking defects.Create deliverables for electronic distribution, including release notes.Timely completion of testing efforts within defined schedule.Assure compliance with a standard development methodology, including requirements, test plans, and quality criteria.Learn new applications and tools in support of testing efforts.Help maintain systems for defect tracking, and a custom software repositoryAssist with baseline product specifications (e.g. wish list, future development, new ideas, etc).Effectively communicate issues cross-functionally (e.g. with product management, project management, or development).Participate in the improvement of SQA processes.Reproduce field problems and assist technical support efforts when needed.Manage day-to-day tasks productively, without management direction. Other duties as assigned.
