We are actively searching for an Accountant with Construction industry background. The accountant position is responsible for lien waivers, contracts, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Job Costing.
Manage accounts receivables process, including invoice preparation and collection of outstanding receivables
Prepare AIA billings for contractors and end-users
Enter/review vendor invoices, tracking of lien releases, vendor statement reconciliations, review of AP Aging and resolution of aged outstanding invoices
Reconcile billing differences with customers
Receiving, recording, and banking cash, checks, and vouchers
Examine accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to company standards
Review records of accounts and input entries into proper accounts
Review and verify contract, commitments, change orders and general costs for accuracy
Project setup, budget review, contract review, monthly budget review and project reporting
Must be able to multi-task
Must have a broad range of skills and abilities related to accounting; Including--but not limited to--accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, the ability to read, interpret, and produce company financial statements
Must be have working knowledge of construction AIA billing
Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
Must be able to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies across areas of organizational responsibility
Strong computer skills required. Must demonstrate intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Possess / develop working knowledge of the Company's accounting and other systems
