As a consultative, client-facing, technical sales professional, you will be guided by IBM's purpose - to be essential to its clients - actively engaging clients to develop the trust and credibility to help them grow their businesses by solving strategic and tactical business problems with IBM's proven storage and cloud technology solutions.
We are seeking individuals interested in making an impact in selling IBM's storage portfolio to maintain and grow existing revenue streams and relationships in the Northeast US. You must be self-motivated, ready to interact daily with a variety of other smart and highly motivated people, and work in a changing environment where no two days are ever the same. Our Client Technical Specialists deliver industry centric business solutions to clients of all sizes within the Financial Services industry.
This storage pre-sales specialist role will represent the hardware and software storage portfolio with deep expertise in storage software i.e. data protection/backup/archive, software defined storage, storage management and object storage. He/she will work with Storage Sellers and IBM Business Partners to determine customer requirements, create configurations and proposals, respond to RFP and RFQ's, lead Proof of Concept testing and follow through on sales post installation delivery by Services. Must have presentation and hands-on skills along with a deep understanding of storage technologies and how to position winning solutions to customers. This role requires deep technical talent with excellent soft skills for developing new client relationships and opportunities alongside their Sales peers. When engaged for a specific opportunity or project, they are responsible for the technical accuracy of the proposed solution.
You'll also be responsible for navigating IBM to identify and acquire critical resources needed to develop the best solution for the client, while applying IBM brand strategies and offerings, methods and models, to ensure world-class design and delivery. Not only do our salespeople sell some of the world's most innovative IT and business solutions (analytics, AI solutions, multi-cloud, commerce, internet of things, systems hardware, systems software), they get to interact with some of the world's most prominent clients in the financial markets.
