A knowledge base for operating room procedures utilizing hand held instruments is key for ongoing assessment of new ideas for a differentiated instrument portfolio. This role develops and coordinates all aspects of new product development, product launches, and maintains marketing functions for current products. Under minimal supervision, the Clinical Product Manager is responsible for marketing related to the Precision Tools & Instruments franchise of the Integra Codman Specialty Surgical business. This position performs activities including implementation of strategic product initiatives to address customer needs and drive profitable growth, delivery of a marketing plan/ buying process, pricing strategy and value proposition to key surgeons and faculty. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Based on clinical expertise and experience, develops and executes programs to influence the instrument purchasing cycle inclusive of contracting (GPO, IDNs, etc.) Utilizes clinical experience and expertise to cross functionally partner with instruments team and deliver: Utilizes clinical expertise and experience to determine strategic product line decisions such as portfolio line extensions and/or line trimming based on evaluating competitors products for general surgery, minimally invasive, orthopedic, neurosurgery, spine, thoracic, cardiovascular, ophthalmic, gynecology, ENT, etc. Working with cross-functional teams, drives product forecasting, pricing strategies, literature/video/sales support materials, labeling revisions, clinical studies, manufacturing and customer service/ operations support to build value and maximize earnings Develops product-oriented positioning documents, product profiles, competitive analysis, demos, white papers and brochures content for existing and new product launches Responsible for the implementation of focused tactical initiatives to improve customer experience and drive profitable product growth Monitors forecasts as necessary and works collaboratively with other departments to ensure product availability throughout the lifecycle of the product Responds to customer needs, requirements and problems in accordance with Company policy, and acts as liaison between customer, in-house departments, and regional/district sales management. Attends company regional/national meetings, trade shows and workshops.
