The Export/Import Compliance Specialist is directly responsible for identifying and recommending improvements (as needed) to assist with maintaining company export and import controls. This colleague will serve as a subject matter expert and will work closely with Dept. Manager, peers and other internal or external stakeholders to strengthen and develop best business practices. We are looking for a colleague with specific strength in the Export Sanctioned Country Compliance area, Country of Origin determinations, assignment of HTS, Sch B, ECCN classifications. EU HTS classification is a plus Serve as a subject matter expert for export and import compliance Identify, recommend and oversee export and import controls and process improvements for all Integra locations to assure compliance with all government regulations and requirements Update or implement Export Compliance Management Program to include sanctioned country exports Partner with import and export operations staff as needed to support dept or other stakeholders Partner and perform periodic internal compliance reviews, self-audits and assessments Partner and approve or monitor NAFTA country of origin certificates Partner and approve sanctioned country orders prior to shipping Assist with Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and DPL checks Partner & train staff (if needed) to strengthen projects or knowledge base. Perform special projects or other duties as required Travel to Integra locations, up to 25% Bachelor s Degree in International Trade or related discipline is required. Equivalent experience may be considered. S. Customs brokers license preferred Five or more years of experience in sanctioned country exports compliance and operations Five or more years of experience with Country of origin determinations, FTA research and issuance Experience with SNAP R export license submission is required Experience with OFAC and DPL is required Strong knowledge of requirements and maintenance of conditions issued by the U.S. Department of Commerce Proficiency with Import, Schedule B and ECCN classifications Ability to work in a team environment and work independently Experience in a multi-national manufacturing and distribution organization, medical device or pharmaceutical industry preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to understand export and import compliance issues, interpret regulations and recommend and apply solutions
