We are looking for an experienced General Foreman to help lead utility work crews throughout West Virginia and Virginia. This is a great opportunity to join our team where you will play an instrumental role in creating and developing work crews.
Supervises and ensures proper techniques are employed in the topping, felling, pruning, spraying, and removing of Utility Right-Of-Way Trees
Supervise and participate in manual or mechanized tree clearing operations in various locations.
Supervises and ensures proper techniques are employed in the removal of dead, broken, misshaped and undesired branches using ropes, saddles, mobile aerial devices, chain saws, Heavy Mechanized and other tools and equipment necessary for tree trimming and felling
Supervises and ensures proper techniques are employed in the care and operation of mobile aerial devices, edged tools, Heavy Equipment and all other equipment, ropes and safety equipment, log loaders, winches and herbicide sprayers
Trains new team members in safety practices and all phases of arboriculture; maintains records of work activities, work orders and time sheets; evaluates team members
Works with various personnel as a dedicated primary contact to ensure daily tasks are being completed and communicating to crews, management and utility in summary with necessary information routinely.

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years experience in tree trimming and related tree care activities which involved operating specialized tree trimming and removal equipment
Minimum of 1 year of leadership experience.
Possession of a valid State Driver's License. Operating a vehicle is necessary for the satisfactory performance of assigned duties.
Ability to obtain a State Commercial Driver's License (CDL A)
Ability to obtain a State Department of Agriculture Certified Pesticide Applicator license
A General Foreman will obtain or already possess considerable knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work and ability to train new personnel in safe and effective methods of tree maintenance.
Knowledge of rigging methods
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, subordinates and the general public
Ability to supervise, assign, direct and evaluate the work of subordinates. Ability to maintain necessary time sheets, records, etc. as required
Ability to perform strenuous physical activity, including lifting up to 100 pounds, and to work in adverse weather conditions
Skill in the use and care of tools and equipment commonly used in tree clearing and maintenance
Ability to maintain our drug, tobacco, alcohol, profanity, and gossip free work environment. We respect everyone for their unique qualities, however, team members are prohibited from using tobacco products while wearing our apparel or operating our equipment. In short, were not perfect but were good people wanting to surround ourselves with other good people!
Must be able to work at various heights and on uneven and slippery surfaces performing mentally/physically demanding work under unfavorable weather conditions while handling equipment or material
Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English written and verbal job instructions and information
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be authorized to work for any employer in U.S.
Successful completion of pre-employment screens including hair & urinalysis, motor vehicle record, DOT physical & lift test, and criminal background. Integrity Tree Services adheres to client contract requirements which prevents us from placing team members who have been convicted of a felony within the past seven years on certain contracts.
Extensive. Frequent overnight travel and driving to work sites. Must be able to stay with crew out of town for majority of workweek.
