Advanced degree such as an MBA ispreferred SeniorCommodity Manager Summary: Responsible to develop long term global strategiesfor assigned commodity; in collaboration with Product Management and otherstakeholders that are aligned and deployed to achieve \"best total cost\" whilesupporting customer lead time and quality requirements. Initiate and implementglobal strategic sourcing initiatives and inventory strategies to facilitateinter-company synergies that increase procurement leverage across arationalized set of global preferred supplier partners. Primary accountabilityfor the identification, selection, and qualification of suppliers as well ascompliance to established Supplier performance metrics; quality, on timedelivery and total cost performance for the assigned commodity. Lead team in development of global sourcing strategies for assigned commodityexpenditures with primary accountability for overall Supplier performance.Responsible for >$60M annual spend ; Machining ~$46M and Non-metallics~$14M.. -Define and implement standard process to create and implement long termSourcing Strategies for associated commodities -Identify, select, and qualify suppliers required to meet IP global andregional business needs -Manage supplier relationships with primary ownership for driving performanceimprovements in the areas. quotation lead time, documentation and productdelivery on-time performance and quality as well as lead time and YOY deflationinitiatives -Achieve annual IP cost savings initiatives -Utilize quarterly guidance on materials and major currencies to driveappropriate procurement activities. -Support global sourcing and outsourcing projects (product localizationprojects) -Rationalization/Consolidation of Supplier Base -Negotiate and administer Supply Agreements/Contracts with suppliers with focuson liquidated damages (LD's)and surcharges as appropriate -Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships aimed at achieving thehighest level of performance and customer service from the suppliers as well asthe lowest total cost enabling IP to win work and enhance margins -Implement \"Common Global Supplier\" inventory stocking programs to support costand lead time reductions. -Support SAP implementation related tasks as required relating to commodity andSupplier management. -Enforce corporate policies regarding the ethical conduct of purchasingactivities and the Supplier Code of Conduct -Develop sources for identified commodities to meet IP goals. Conduct on-goingresearch for benchmark suppliers, processes to improve ITT IP competitiveposition. -Manage supplier relationships with primary ownership for driving performanceimprovements in the areas of, quality and delivery, lead time and cost. -Execution of cost savings initiatives to support IP savings goals. -Lead and develop direct reports including coaching, goal setting, performancemanagement, and career development -Negotiate supply agreements (contracts) with suppliers. -Maintain accuracy of Supplier Roadmaps and monitor site compliance. This position requires visibility to controlled documents. Skills and Experience Minimum 10 years' experience in Supply Chain Management within a multi- site global manufacturing environment including Commodity Strategy Development and execution in a high mix low volume environment. Prefer sourcing experience related to associated commodity (machined components, machined castings, plastics, rubber, and over molding for Non-metallic components) as well as Commercial contract negotiations Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or other relevant field of study required. Professional Affiliations/Certification: ISM C.P.M/C.P.S.M., APICS CPIM desirable. Advanced degree such as an MBA is preferred Ability to read blueprints. Knowledge of GD&T, DFA, & DFM. Strong knowledge of various applicable manufacturing processes (metal machining and fabrication, over molding) Familiarity with inspection techniques such as CMM and other NDT's. Knowledge of various materials associated with the commodity; metals and castings primarily with plastics, rubber, and over molding for Non-metallics. ERP experience required, SAP preferred. Must be fluent in English while also possessing a cultural sensitivity Extensive Global Sourcing, contract negotiation skills and experience. Contract writing, supplier qualification Proven ability to work with multiple cultures and geographies. In-person and virtually. Sourcing experience in an influential leadership position related to product cost drivers. Domestic and International travel to IP sites and suppliers is required. (~40%) Demonstrates strong leadership ability, vision, and innovative thinking. Supplier Negotiations & Cost Reduction Computer Skills: MS Office Experience with strategic supplier relationship management and performance/development. Developing and deploying standard processes, procedures and tools. Experience implementing lean tools is strongly preferred. Certification desired Demonstrated success in leading projects in a global matrix organization. Proven collaboration skills.Salary Range: NAMinimum Qualification11 - 15 years
