The team delivers high-quality information through activities that include development of essential, building infrastructure capabilities to meet client needs and implementing data standards and governance.Department: Application DevelopmentAD delivers solutions that respond to the business needs of the global capital markets with quality, efficiency, and excellence, using innovative technologies and providing secure information management.Position SummaryResponsible for the overall management of the Project Coordinators, Project Managers and Scrum Masters responsible for guiding the squads and organization on agile practices and mythologies within Application Development (AD) team and specific business applications within an AD Area across multiple global Leading Financial Services Company locations. Provides leadership and handles all aspects of team management, including the development of team members. Works closely with Agile coach(s) and Center of Excellence (CoE) to ensure best practices, mentors PM??s and Scrum Masters as well as foster a culture of removing impediments, responsible for the overall governance and process adherence for the team. Provides leadership for all projects and initiatives involving the team. Reviews and approves all estimates and project plans. Supports adherence to existing process best practices & standards; engages the services of the Domain Process Lead as a liaison across teams and areas within the AD Domain. The AD Team Lead has a solid understanding of technology as well as process management, including managing budgets, metrics, personnel and team morale, as a leader. Specific ResponsibilitiesMonitoring Team progress towards metric targetsActively participating in Continuous Improvement-related initiatives to minimize unfavorable variancesManaging the expectations of customersStrong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules and practices and ability to lead other Scrum MastersBasic knowledge of software development processes and procedures, including basic fundamentals of interactive and incremental developmentKnowledgeable and ability to coach and lead others to define Agile techniques like: User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated TestingAbility to take and understand commitments to deliver projects on time, on budgetKnowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burn-down metrics, velocity, user stories etc.Experience using Jira or similar tool for managing Sprints and User StoriesFamiliar with common development practices, Service oriented environments, and Agile practicesAbility to track quality metrics, Definition of Done (DoD) and deliver metrics via dashboardingServes as a coach in Agile practices to other Scrum Masters and PM??s Proficiency in estimation and planningEnabling an environment of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and teamwork.Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
