Responsible for managing the project mobilization, operations and schedule and guiding its overall direction. The manager must communicate with the various teams working on the project, as well as senior leaders and management. The manager should be organized and able to meet deadlines on the project. Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Coordinates metiers leaders driving Engineering, Industrial, Sourcing and Procurement ensuring alignment to the project schedule and budget. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Directly supervises varied non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
During project mobilization, ensure all tools (incl. MMIS) and infrastructure are on schedule and in sufficient capacity to deliver the TSSSA scope
Define the organization and tool to support fleet planning.
Manage the interface with Rolling Stock, including Warranty and working with Amtrak for Conditional Acceptance of trains
Ensure smooth daily train handover from maintenance to revenue service
Identify project risks, recommend appropriate resolutions and facilitate execution
Manages customer training from plan definition to monitoring Amtrak s performance
Review production and operating reports and schedules directing the resolution of mobilization, operational and maintenance misalignment to ensure minimum costs and prevent project delays
Animate the complete change and configuration activity for the project. Lead CCB meeting for the project and ensure correct adherence from all team members
Ensure all Customer CDRL s are complete and delivered per the project schedule and to the customer s satisfaction
Monitor and agree corrective action to ensure Services objectives are met including cost of non-quality
Coordinates maintenance and overhaul activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
Performs administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.
Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives.
Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations
Managing Operational Activities to achieve QCD/OTD and finance results, including sales, gross margin and CONQ;
Develop an EHS, Quality and Railway Safety culture and meet Leading Manufacturing / Operations Company targets as well as local laws and regulations as necessary to facilitate successful project execution
Masters degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience (Essential Functions)
Four to ten years related experience and/or training.
