Program and Set up Haas Mills and Lathes within a job shop environment.
Must be able to read and interprets blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, layout, job order and related technical data for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, and determines setup procedures, control settings, material requirements, machining methods and sequence of operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares and pre-sets all tools needed for machining operations.
Sets up fixture, starts machine, and troubleshoots all issues
Inspects first run piece and spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications (including documentation of results)
Knowledge of G and M codes
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Operate machines to produce the required quantity of good quality parts to meet production standards
Visual inspection of parts during production cycle of equipment
Operation of CNC mills and lathes helpful
Ability to multitask between programming, setup, and verifying part quality
Must be able to use and measure product with height stand indicators, bore gages, micrometers, profilometers & all other necessary hand tools to measure product
Write & or modify CNC programs in an electronic format or using operating CAM software. It will require to maintain current library of CNC files on administrative drive
Follow all ISO Requirements, Safety, Policies and Procedures
While performing the duties of this job, all PPE must be worn at all times while on the shop floor
