This position will report to H. Beck, Inc. office located in Rockville, Maryland 20850 The Sales Support Specialist provides sales and consulting support to H. Beck advisors and their staff with an emphasis on Advisory, Mutual Funds, Variable Annuities and Alternative Investments. The success in this role is dependent on building strong relationships with advisors, maintaining expertise on all products, programs and platforms, and increasing advisor sales. The Sales Support Specialist will focus on H. Beck's core platforms and products in order to directly impact the financials of the organization. The individual in this role must possess outstanding communication skills, investment acumen and desire to service advisors and their clients. Essential Functions + Drive sales of H. Beck's advisory platforms and investment products. + Exhibit an extraordinarily positive customer service philosophy. + Identify the needs of advisors through effective listening and questioning techniques. + Provide training for advisors over the phone and in their offices. + Assist in sales/marketing component of advisory conversions for new onboarding advisors. + Make presentations at regional meetings and other advisor events. + Maintain relationships with strategic partners and wholesalers. + Evaluate client objectives and align them with appropriate product solutions. + Drive in sales and marketing campaigns. + Provide subject matter expertise to internal departments and project teams. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities + Exhibits an extraordinarily positive customer service philosophy. + Ability to interact with and guide advisors to develop appropriate solutions + Demonstrates skills in conflict resolution and collaboration. + Ability to identify the needs of customers through effective listening and questioning techniques. + Excellent verbal and written skills. + Operate in team environment and work toward common goals. + Ability to present complex ideas effectively. + Confidence in public speaking and engaging individuals. + Ability to approach ideas, issues etc. with an analytical perspective. + Ability to organize and prioritize work. + Ability to work independently. + Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite of programs Requirements + 2 - 5 years of investment product experience (e.g. internal support role, internal-external wholesaler). + Prior retail investment experience preferred. + Undergraduate degree in business related field. + Series 7, 66 (or 63 & 65) + Life, health and variable insurance license a plus. + Strong interpersonal skills + Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate to both large and small groups. + 5%-10% travel may be required.
