Kforce has a client in search of a Data Center Technician in Hartford, Connecticut (CT).Summary:The Temporary Data Center Technician will provide necessary technical support at the corporate data center and remote sites. The Technician will be responsible for the administration, oversight, installation and maintenance of all data center infrastructure to ensure smooth running of business operations. The Technician will ensure facility problems are identified and repaired in a timely manner and will also work with contractors to deliver quality service and ensure IT requests are met.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Monitor environmental controls of all infrastructure

* Manage, troubleshoot, identify, respond to and resolve infrastructure issues expeditiously

* Collaborate with cross functional teams within the IT organization

* Installation and configuration of copper and fiber connectivity to servers and other low voltage devices

* Qualify, run and test custom network cabling in data centers where required

* Escort, log and supervise contractors while performing service in the data centers

* Manage service desk incident ticket systems

* Manage daily backup validation and tasks

* Perform all duties referenced in standard operating procedures manual

* Maintain current process and procedure documentation

* Generate and provided documentation as necessary for audits

* High School required; College degree or applicable certification training or licensing in related field preferred

* Minimum of 1 years of experience maintaining and supporting data center infrastructure preferred

* Experience with computer related infrastructure, networks, systems, storage, etc.

* Exceptional interpersonal communication, written and verbal skills

* Ability to work independently

* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities

* Working knowledge of physical IT infrastructure components

* Teamwork and cross functional collaboration

* Able to troubleshoot, identify, take action and resolve infrastructure issues expeditiously

* Data center skills such as installing moving/equipment and cabling

* Excellent written and communication skills
