As a member of the Global Benefits & Well-Being and Global Retirement teams, the Content Writer will be responsible for developing a wide variety of creative and engaging employee benefits-related content, targeting a range of internal regional and global audiences across multiple channels. The Content Writer works closely with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders across the Global Benefits & Well-Being, Retirement, and Tax teams to write and edit content that promotes the firm's world-class benefit and retirement offerings as part of its employee value proposition. He/she also collaborates with Internal Communications colleagues to ensure content is aligned with overall communications strategy, reflects the firm's tone of voice, and furthers the firm's brand. He/she acts as a departmental resource for brainstorming content ideas, contributing to strategy, and serving in an advisory role answering questions on style, grammar, voice, and tone.

The Content Writer will use his/her demonstrated writing expertise to accomplish these and other critical functions:

Core Responsibilities

* Under the guidance of subject matter experts, and in collaboration with the Internal Communications Senior Manager - Human Resources & Benefits, gathers requirements and draft/edit/proofread content - often on tight deadlines - for multiple audiences and mediums, including but not limited to: intranet, benefit guides, email correspondence, announcements, presentations, brochures, tip sheets/FAQs, event invitations, video scripts, banner ads, and other collateral material.
* Provides creative thinking and supports communications strategy to help position the firm as \"employer of choice\" through assigned projects, including internal product launches, awareness campaigns, issues promotion, and more.
* Works with subject matter experts to draft/edit/transform complex benefits language into content that is easy to read, easy to understand across varied cultures, and easy to follow; combines seemingly disparate elements into cohesive, engaging themes and written copy / multimedia communications for multiple audiences.
* Ensures that benefits and retirement intranet pages, guides, and template correspondence include consistent, up-to-date, user-friendly information and messaging.
* Helps generate new ideas for producing content that is creative and compelling for target audiences; create enthusiasm about topics that others might see as routine.
* Stays abreast of firm priorities and developments, as well as news and current events relevant to the firm and legal industry, and trends in both the employee benefits and communications fields.

As an experienced Content Writer on the Global Benefits & Well-Being and Global Retirement teams, you will be expected to apply your writing and communications skills, while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude. A solid understanding of and interest in employee benefits and well-being and retirement plan topics is desired (e.g., insurance, healthcare, well-being, 401(k), voluntary benefit programs etc.) and experience writing employee benefit communications is preferred but not required. The successful Content Writer should have:

At least five (5) years of professional writing (preferably HR/benefits/well-being/retirement-related writing) and/or internal communications/marketing communications experience is desired. The Content Writer should possess intermediate skills with PC applications, including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); SharePoint experience is a plus.
