**The Role**



As the Sr Product Owner, Producer Solutions, you will provide subject matter expertise and direction as a key stakeholder on complex projects/initiatives to deliver products that achieve business objectives and improve customer satisfaction. You will translate and convey the overall business vision into technical requirements and tactics for specific products. You will also define and prioritize the product backlog and set quality standards for delivery while ensuring that complex information technology solutions meet the needs, goals and objectives of the business.



**Responsibilities**



Product Ownership



+ Lead change and execution for Customer Experience focused initiatives that support our Producer Solutions area

+ Drive new and enhanced capabilities for; onboarding/contracting new producers, licensing, appointment and continuing education/training, managing compensation hierarchies and firm affiliations, simplifying the complexity of multiple lines of business and diverse state, product, firms and channel requirements

+ Provides a complex understanding the business and product usage to contribute to the program vision and roadmap development

+ Leads requirements gathering effort on epics and documents story details based on the epics

+ Proposes solutions to stated business problems, assesses alternative solutions and identifies gaps based on knowledge of the product and how clients use the product

+ Translates and conveys the overall business vision into technical requirements and tactics for product development

+ Serves as key decision maker on priorities of product backlog, and works to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned at each stage of the development lifecycle

+ Manages dependencies in and across sprints and releases

+ Provides direction and collaborates effectively with appropriate stakeholders on complex issues and conflicts that impact time, cost, scope, quality and risk of assigned projects

+ Provides subject matter expertise to clarify development requirements

+ Serves as a mentor and shares knowledge with more junior team members



Relationship Management



+ Directs, advises and collaborates with internal and/or external stakeholders to determine Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and goals for complex product offering(s)

+ Collaborates with key stakeholders and/or management to gather and support prioritization of complex product requirements, providing recommendations, as appropriate



Business Acumen



+ Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions

+ Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives

+ Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit

+ Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects

+ Provides direction on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capability of assigned area(s)

+ Remains current in profession and industry trends

+ Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by: - Making suggestions for improvement - Learning new skills, procedures and processes



**Requirements**



Education



+ 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)



Experience



+ 5 - 7+ Years of experience in Business Analysis, Project Management, or a product-related role within a development team that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position

+ 5 - 7+ years of experience in insurance producer contracting, licensing and/or compensation operations or customer service

+ Ability to read, analyze and interpret both internal and external documents such as general media/publications, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, and standard operating procedures

+ Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions/presentations

+ Apply concepts such as probability, statistics, modeling, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical solutions

+ Works with mathematical concepts such as averages and/or variances

+ Ability to analyze complex information and to evaluate the implications of a course of action or solution

+ Ability to interpret and apply common sense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

+ Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

+ Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
