The New York office of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, is seeking a highly qualified associate with three to five years of technology transactions experience to join our growing team.
Ideal candidates will have deep experience in drafting and negotiating agreements for technology-focused transactional matters including software development and licensing, technology licensing, and systems implementation. Experience with issues relating to content management, ad tech and fintech is strongly preferred. Digital content experience a plus.
The digital and technology transactions group represents top-tier companies in the entertainment, publishing and consumer electronics industries. The group advises clients on strategies to monetize content across digital and traditional media platforms including online, mobile, print and television. With a practice that spans transactional work and issues relating to the protection of intellectual property on digital platforms, the group guides clients through the development, production, licensing and distribution processes.
* Three to five years of deep technology transactions experience
* Stellar academic credentials and excellent writing and communication skills
* Strong client-facing skills with demonstrated ability to deal directly with clients
* Effective and efficient problem solver with the ability to work independently and proactively
* Admitted to the NY bar and in good standing
