As a Regional Physician Traveler, this role may travel to a predetermined set of centers.Primary Responsibilities:Must be willing to travel between 3 contiguous states throughout the areas in which MedExpress provides servicesMust be willing to procure and maintain licensure as requested and within the timeframe identified by MedExpressProvides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatmentPerforms therapeutic procedures such as I&D, splinting, suturing, managing infection, and wound careDocumenting/Charting patient information in line with current policies and proceduresDevelops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of careCommunicates with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional informationPrescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditionsRefers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriateFollows established policies, procedures, objectives, and recommended referral practicesAssists the CorporateCare division of MedExpress and pathways associated therewithParticipates in facility in-services, required staff meetings, and other clinic operations proceduresOrders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interpret test results for deviation from normalOrientation and training of new practitioners when necessaryDirects and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as requiredSupervision of midlevel practitioners when appropriate and abide by all associated rules and regulationsWill interact with all center staffed based team-members including providers and non-providersRequired Qualifications:Graduate of an Accredited School of Medicine, currently licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners and Board certified in a specialty field of medicineMust have and maintain a DEA license with no restrictionsA minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in an emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care settingMust be successfully licensed, or willing to become licensed in states where medicine will be practicedKnowledge of computerized information systems used in business applications and clinical management systems (EMR)Knowledge of relevant drugs and their chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergoKnowledge of non-pharmaceutical patient care aids, their applicable uses, and relevance to patient careKnowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatmentAccreditation and certification requirements and the ability to maintain all appropriate licensesUrgent and occupational medicine fields experienceKnowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations including the requirements of the HIPAA and OSHA and applicable state rules and regulations pertinent to medical practicesAbility to perform duties in accordance with the customary rules of ethics and conduct of the applicable State Board of Medicine and other such regulating bodiesAbility to prescribe dosages and instr
