Job Description


The Nursing Education Department at MSK is currently seeing a Coordinator to assist with the maintenance of Nursing's Simulation Laboratory. The mission of the Nursing Clinical Simulation Program is to provide a safe environment to promote clinical competence, self-confidence, reflective practice, teamwork and inter-professional collaboration for staff.


* Serve as simulation facilitator by assisting in programming, testing, and conducting faculty run simulation scenarios; Prepare, module and properly stage scenarios as outlined by faculty; Assist faculty to develop discipline specific and inter-professional simulations throughout the curriculum.
* Understand the use and operation of different simulator technologies ranging from anatomic models, task-trainers, screen-based simulations, full-body patient simulators, and virtual reality simulators.
* Provide technical support for computer-based multimedia systems and their components including operation of digital cameras, audio/video mixer, digital/analog converter, monitors, LCD projectors and other equipment.
* Install software and hardware upgrades and maintain functionality of manikin components as directed by manufacturer support.
* Train faculty and other staff in the technical and operational aspects of simulation.
* Maintain schedule for booking Simulation Lab and Classroom training programs; Maintain facility as a clean, safe, and operational space and optimal learning environment; Conduct routine equipment maintenance, inventory updates, and equipment purchase requests.
* Serve as a liaison between MSK Division of Nursing Professional Development and contract vendors.


* Associate's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of Simulation Lab or related experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
* Strong customer service and organizational skills are essential. MS Office skills required.


8 hour days (flexible) Monday - Friday. #LI-MA1
