Messina Groups Business Intelligence & Analytics Practice Consulting Division is seeking a Microsoft Analytics Architect local to Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of full life-cycle development in the BI/Analytics space with a focus on the Microsoft technology stack. The candidate will join our Analytics practice as a consultant and will develop data-driven solutions for our clients

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate, architect and lead data driven solutions that generate business value for our clients
Serve as the technical architect and/or project lead for key relationships and accounts
Become a trusted advisor for our consulting practice and our clients on the best use cases for emerging technologies
Conduct TCO analysis and perform recommendations on the optimal technology stacks for given client scenarios
Lead requirements gathering efforts with key business and technical stakeholders
Lead full SDLC lifecycle of Analytics projects
Demo various BI products to current and prospective clients
Recommend technical configurations, architecture and deployment best practices
Lead the development of collateral for the Messina Analytics, such as case studies, BI products and frameworks, demonstration materials, etc.


REQUIRED SKILLS
7-10 years of work experience, preferably in consulting, in the business intelligence fields
5+ years of experience working with the Microsoft BI stack
Expert level knowledge of one or more of the following: Azure PaaS/IaaS configurations, Microsoft Power BI, Azure Data Factory, Spark, HD Insights, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate technical solutions and business benefit to both technical and business resources
Fundamental understanding of data warehousing, metadata management, abstraction layer and presentation layer architecture
Strong knowledge of data warehousing and data architecture concepts (Kimball, etc.), star schemas
Exposure to non-SDLC methodologies, such as waterfall and agile
Experience leading development teams consisting of both client and internal resources
Ability to support and collaborate with PMO office on project estimates and status reporting
