Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking a Social Worker whom will be responsible for a wide array of responsibilities focused on ensuring students are able to maintain enrollment at MHS so that they graduate and are well positioned for future success. Core responsibility areas include the following:
Providing direct therapeutic support services (individualized and group).
Providing case management and consultative support to service provider teams which includes creating individualized plans to address student needs.
Serving as part of an interdisciplinary team of health, scholastic and residential care professionals to maintain continuity of student care from admission to post-enrollment.
Facilitating support and community linkage support via discharge planning
Offering consultation and professional development training to MHS staff and families of origin.
Serving as primary point of contact for outside agencies.
LicensedClinical Social Worker required. LCSWeligible considered
3 or moreyears of experience in a similar role working with youth from lower income inschools, health care or community care setting.
Exceptionalinterpersonal skills including the ability to influence, collaborate, lead,train others, and manage crisis.
Exceptionalorganizational skills including the ability to multi-task in a dynamicenvironment with competing priorities.
Proficientwith Microsoft applications, database utilization and electronicrecord-keeping.
Fluency inSpanish a plus.
Candidatesmust demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are role modelsfor MHS students.
Must bewilling to actively engage with students beyond the scope of the jobresponsibilities.
