Job Summary

The collaborationplatform engineer is responsible for assessment, planning,
design, testing, andtechnical documentation for the implementation, support
and migration ofenterprise messaging and collaboration toolsets to Office 365.
This person willhave experience migrating from Exchange to O365 including
hybrid environments.Proficiency in writing scripts, automation, and
optimization of clientcomputing environments. This position requires excellent
written and verbalcommunication skills and an ability to team up with other
engineers andadministrators.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with all relevant parties in order to review the objectives and constraints of SharePoint and Office365 solutions and determine conformance with the enterprise architect.
Work closely with Enterprise Architecture and Information Security to specify and document product solutions and standard methodologies
Understand and assess existing client messaging and collaboration toolsets
Document existing and future state architecture with functional requirements and specifications
Coordinate with related projects, software upgrades, architecture changes and implementation of new components within the environment
Develop test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects
Conceive, plan and implement creative approaches to solve complex problems of diverse scope

Minimum 10 years of dynamic experience and domain expertise in Microsoft collaboration and messaging platform.
Understands Exchange 2013 features, migration, and related concepts
Minimum of 5+ years designing and implementing solutions involving three or more of the following:
Office 365 planning and migration including Exchange, SharePoint, Lync
Large scale (5000+ mailbox) Exchange design/migration
Active Directory engineering, support, migration
SCCM and OS/Application deployment toolset engineering
Strong networking skills, including WAN/VPN
Experience architecting collaboration and messaging solutions in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Ability to understand and write automation scripts
Versed knowledge and experience of processes in agile methodology
Agile techniques Automated Testing and User Stories
Solid foundation in best practices and techniques for agile ceremonies
Express difficult and complex concepts clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
Write clear, logical reports, and instructions
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision to deliver projects successfully under fixed time constraints
Work effectively and cooperatively with administrators, staff, users, project consultants and vendors
