Job Description

The Marketing Director is an existing position in a rapidly growing residential real estate business serving the Capital Region. Monticello is an independent, boutique residential real estate company with offices in Albany and Saratoga. Ranked as one of the fastest growing companies in the Capital Region by the Albany Business Review, Monticello was founded in 2010 and has grown to a team of 19. This position provides an opportunity for increased responsibility and income as the company continues to grow. The position is primarily responsible for directing and growing the business through media and marketing. Prior video filming editing experience required. The marketing department presently has 2 employees and were looking to grow the department to 3 employees.




The Marketing Director will primarily provide support to the team through the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Directing social media presence and online marketing on behalf of company
  • Managing the Matterport Camera for all listing shoots
  • Managing and supervising 1-2 marketing assistants
  • Shooting and editing company videos for facebook, instagram, twitter, and youtube
  • Piloting company Drone
  • Building out the company youtube channel with original industry, agent, and client content
  • Monitoring company website, including managing content
  • Monitoring individual websites for listed properties, including managing content
  • Designing and producing brochures, flyers, direct mail campaigns, and information displays on behalf of both the company and listed properties
  • Writing company blog posts, newsletters, memos, and press releases
  • Creating promotional videos to market property listings
  • Implementing and periodically revising the company's marketing and public relations plan
  • Still photography as needed
  • Managing leads and the company database as needed
  • Providing overall company and office administrative support; other duties may be assigned

Special Skills:

  • Drone pilot license preferred

Bachelors Degree and/or two years marketing or related experience and training. Management experience preferred.

Computer and Technology Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel; Google Drive; Gmail; Facebook; Wordpress; web-based software; Adobe InDesign; Adobe Lightroom; Final Cut Pro; prior video filming editing experience; and online client management software systems.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the company. Strong customer service skills required.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
