Candidate will go through a 4-6 week training period working part-time 8am-1pm. After training is complete, full-time hours will apply.
The Operations Assistant is responsible for the overall plant administrative functions covering a combination of some or all of the following: office management, human resources, scheduling, inventory control, procurement, time-keeping and or billing; may serve as lead to plant office staff.
Performs a variety of office administrative functions, such as preparing reports/documentation, processing mail, and filing.
Aids in coordination of plant communications including presenting policy and benefit information during meetings.
Performs plant procurement responsibilities, inventory and cycle count administration as well as rail car administration.
May be responsible for updating & maintaining production training records and plant audit dates.
May assist Quality by sending PPAP (Production Parts Approval Process) documentation, samples, advanced shipping notices as well as entering and tracking non conformances in IQS.
May assist HR Manager with proper documentation for new hires, employee transaction forms, field general pay, policy and/or benefits questions and assist with on boarding.
May assist Plant Management with time-keeping and attendance tracking of regular and contract associates.
Provides general administrative support to plant. May provide lead direction to other staff in the performance of plant administrative responsibilities.
Other detail will be as follows:
Enter POs and submit to vendor
Run inventory report daily
Expedite orders and review open POs to ensure timely delivery
Purchasing experience preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
Prior Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system experience preferred
Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
