COLLEGE: SCHOOL OF BUSINESS DEPARTMENT: ACCOUNTING POSITION: TENURE- TRACK POSITION IN ACCOUNTING- ALL RANKS JOB SUMMARY: The Department of Accounting invites applications for one (1) full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty appointment (at assistant, associate or full professor) commencing September 1, 2020 to teach at New Jersey City University campuses in Jersey City and Monmouth County, New Jersey. RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful applicant will be required to teach both basic and advanced courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, will be expected to develop new programs and course offerings for the accounting department, and maintain scholarly engagement in their respective field. EDUCATION: Candidates should have an earned doctorate in Accounting with a focus on Accounting Information Systems (AIS), or provide evidence it will be fully completed within one year of the 2020-2021 academic year. In extraordinary cases, as determined by the University, a terminal degree may not be necessary . EXPERIENCE : Applicants should have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research and service.
