The new Data Management Core at the NYS Psychiatric Institute is an effort to further enhance the nation's leading psychiatric research organization through more efficient and effective data quality and integrity management, ease of development for new investigators and Institutionalized compliance with data security and sharing goals. The Data Management Operations Director will manage technical services, particularly research data management systems and platform software, and establish processes, procedures, scripts and routines to ensure high availability, security and compliance of the centrally-supported components.
Provide technical support and input to the Director of the Research Data Management Core;
Manage NYSPI REDCap services on Linux and Windows running on premise and in AWS cloud;
Instantiate REDCap projects per established standards, including certification and delegated administration practices;
Provide basic support regarding the use of the NYSPI Institutional REDCap system;
Manage REDCap accounts and access lifecycle, including routine access review and attestation;
Publish a shared REDCap library of forms, modules and supporting functions/scripts;
Provide consultation and trainings to investigators on basic REDCap functions
Provide limited consultation on specific advanced REDCap functions;
Bachelor's Degree in IT, data sciences or related fields;
At least 2 years experience in the last 3 years managing REDCap platform software, including installing production REDCap in a highly-available configuration;
Professional experience managing production Linux systems;
Proven success running large, grant-funded research studies in the healthcare field;
Experience developing and supporting projects using REDCap;
Experience deploying REDCap plugins, hooks or modules;
Professional experience developing research solutions using python, PHP ;
Professional experience managing shared research solutions;
Master Degree in data science or related field;
Experience managing applications in the AWS cloud;
