As the Associate Director of Human Resources, you will be responsible for helping to manage the day-to-day HR function and supports People & Culture, and our broader Experience team as needed. Our HR Managers serve as a resource and advocate for employees on company policies, payroll and benefits, performance management, and employee relations matters-and as a partner for business leaders to assist with staffing needs, questions, and concerns. This role may or may not manage an HR Assistant or HR Coordinator-the right candidates will have strong, \"people-first\" management skills.

Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

* Serving as a direct point of contact for HR matters for employees across assigned regional Hearts office(s)
* Managing the HR Coordinator and HR Assistant, and supporting all activities surrounding the employee life-cycle from hire through termination
* Working to develop process efficiencies, so the entire team remains informed, and the HR function operates smoothly
* Working with the recruiting team to draft job descriptions and establish candidate profiles
* Working with business, technology, and office experience leads to manage space, IT, and facilities needs as Hearts continues to grow
* Assisting with the development and implementation of the full cycle of performance management activities including goal-setting, development planning, evaluation, etc.
* Working with business leads and directly with employees on day-to-day employee relations, performance management, and staffing
* Assisting with creation and implementation of diversity initiatives
* Coordinating internal transfer or rotation opportunities and encouraging internal mobility across disciplines
* Facilitating new-hire orientation and working with hiring managers and functional leads to create a positive and effective onboarding experience to ensure new-hires are set up for success
* Conducting new-hire check-ins and exit interviews
* Liaising with Hearts and OMG Finance, OMG benefits and OMG HR teams as needed to ensure open lines of communication
* Assisting with immigration requests in conjunction with the OMG team and outside counsel

Our ideal candidate will bring to the table a combination of the following characteristics and qualifications.

Desired Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* 7-9 years of HR Generalist experience with proficiency in employee relations, onboarding, and performance management--experience managing compensation and benefits is preferred but not required
* Experience working in an advertising agency environment, supporting digital, media planning and buying, communications, technology, and entertainment teams, a plus
* High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (particularly Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and working knowledge of Windows-based computer programs
* Hands-on experience with ADP, Taleo, and Success Factors, or similar HRIS technology
* High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills--verbal, non-verbal, and written--confident presentation skills, and laser-sharp detail orientation
* An innate desire to solve problems and ability to formulate solutions--excellent conflict management skills
* Previous management experience and a proven ability to lead effectively
* High standards of professionalism and presence when engaging all levels of employees, a commitment to the strictest level of confidentiality, and sound business judgment
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize competing priorities, and meet deadlines
* Abilities (and desire) to thrive on a fast-paced team in an ever-changing environment, with lots of ambiguity, but lots of opportunity
* Bachelor's degree in human resources, Master's degree or MBA in human resources management or related field, a plus
