As an Associate Director on the Marketing Science (MarSci) team, you will not only work closely with MarSci leadership to manage resources, implement process improvements and provide mentorship to a team of analysts, but also work with the account team consisting of strategists and investors to shape the strategic direction of your client's marketing strategy through data-driven insights. Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

* Translating data into clear, compelling, and actionable insights by leveraging advanced analytics tactics conducted by central resources
* Collaborating with marketing partners and strategy teams to understand business and marketing objectives and develop reports approaches to meet those objectives
* Presenting to clients, with the support of the functional specialists, the results of analyses and research projects in a clear, insightful, and digestible narrative
* Driving understanding of consumer and marketplace behaviors, particularly those that most impact business and marketing goals
* Working with leaders of the functional specialty teams to keep track of projects being run by the functional specialists to ensure they are high quality and completed on time
* Supporting business development efforts including creation of the strategy, creation of the pitch story, and participation in the presentations
* Evaluating data and research/analytics vendors for or on behalf of clients
* Working with third-party research/analytics vendors to design and set up projects for clients
* Aiding in the development and execution of the measurement plan
* Creating specific research awards submissions and contribute to awards submissions
* Ensuring timely follow-through on all scheduled and ad hoc deliverables
* Leading, mentoring, and training managers and analysts

Desired Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills

* Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, engineering, information management, social sciences or business/marketing or other quantitative fields - Masters preferred
* Minimum 4-5 years of experience in a quantitative data-driven field, inclusive of 3 years' experience in business intelligence or customer insights and at least years' of people management experience (passion for coaching and developing others is a must)
* Prior agency experience preferred
* Experience with data processing/visualization platforms (Alteryx, Tableau, QlikView, etc.)
* Advanced excel skills (VLOOKUP's, Pivot Tables, Macros and other advanced functions)
* Experience with at least one of the following coding languages: SAS, SQL, Java, R, or Python
* Experience with delivering and operationalizing reporting solutions for clients
* Experience with B2B marketing, insight generation, and strategic consulting from a marketing science point of view
* Strong understanding of the media environment preferred, particularly planning, strategy, and implementation
* Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and project management skills are a must
* Familiarity with at least some of the following tools: Marketing technology (e.g., Data Management Platforms), ad-serving (e.g., Google DCM, Atlas), web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), social (e.g., Facebook Insights, Twitter Insights, Crimson Hexagon)
* Understanding of marketing mix modeling/econometric analysis or other branches of market research (custom survey research, advertising testing or tracking, new product research, etc.), a plus
