8 hours JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, responsible for building and delivering educational program(s) to train staff, students, and physicians on approved operational practices and clinical/business software applications. Working in collaboration with a program team, maintain training records and develop new training materials. Coordinate activities with other training units within Penn State Hershey. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of adult learning theory
Prior experience in facilitating adult learning and a proven track record of engaging adult learners through the development of relevant and dynamic content (both instructor led and eLearning)
Ability to facilitate training with audiences of all sizes and experience
Experience leading education projects through their life cycle (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation)
Experience creating technical documentation
Prior experience using Cerner Clinical Information System and/or prior experience in a clinical training environment MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Either: (a) Bachelor's degree plus four additional years of job related experience or (b) eight years total of job related experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
In-depth knowledge of software applications used for developing and managing training materials, including the Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Camtasia Studio, and Adobe Captivate required
Experience with the use of an LMS to organize and deliver on-line training modules required
Proficient in the use of training methods required
Strong oral and written communication skills required
