Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Board Eligible/Certified Academic Emergency Medicine Services physician to lead our dynamic team in the role of EMS Medical Director/EMS Fellowship Director in Hershey, PA. Our hospital-owned and operated EMS Division is comprised of Life Lion EMS (our ground/9-1-1 units), Life Lion Critical Care Transport, and Life Lion Community Paramedicine. Combined, our program transports over 14,000 patients annually and covers 9-1-1 territory in 3 counties in south central PA. We have a wealth of experience in our EM faculty, including multiple physicians who are subspecialty trained/boarded in EMS.
About the EMS Fellowship:
Our EMS Fellowship has been accredited by the ACGME since February 2014. The program provides physicians with the necessary experience and training in operations, research, education and administration to contribute to EMS systems in a variety of settings. The fellowship includes experience with medical command, service oversight, EMS research, and the many interactions which occur with the other 200+ EMS division employees are available to the fellows.
Working with experts in all areas of EMS operations, including air medical, tactical EMS, water rescue, and urban search and rescue
Medical coverage at mass gathering medicine events at Penn State Beaver Stadium and the Hershey Entertainment Complex
Work with an active prehospital research program
Representation at local, regional, state, and national EMS meetings

Demonstration of strong leadership skills
Expertise in the area of EMS and Emergency Medicine
Completion of accredited applicable training programs
