Penn State Health Life Lion EMS is seeking skilled and dedicated Paramedics that are responsible for administering advanced life support care to patients at the scene and during transport. Seeking team members that can collaborate effectively with pre-hospital team members and medical staff.
Penn State Health is one of the leading teaching and research hospitals in the country. It is a multi-hospital health system, Academic Medical Center and Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center serving patients and communities across Central Pennsylvania.
Located in scenic Hershey, PA, it is within a 2-hour drive to weekend destinations such as Philadelphia, Washington DC, Annapolis, and Baltimore, and only a 3-hour drive from New York City. The city offers cultural opportunities, affordable housing, great schools and plenty of outdoor activities.
HS Diploma required.
Graduate of an approved Paramedic Training Program required.
Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic certification within the Commonwealth of PA or Pre-Hospital Health Professional credential required.
Basic Life Support certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification, EVOC certificate, and NIMS (100, 200, 700, & 800) are required.
A valid Driver's License with at least a 2 year violation free driving history before beginning employment is required.
3 months of Advanced Life Support experience preferred.
Able to stand constantly; walk frequently; sit occasionally.
Able to lift/carry 0-10 frequently; 11-50 lbs occasionally.
Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally.
Able to reach constantly.
Able to use hands for simple/firm grasping.
