Penn State Hershey Medical Center is Central Pennsylvania's only Academic Medical Center, Level 1 Regional Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, and Tertiary Care Provider.


Registered Nurses in the Critical Care Float Pool are responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care to a designated group of patients. Critical Care Float RN's float to the following units: Heart and Vascular Intensive Care, Heart and Vascular Progressive Care, Surgical Anesthesia Intensive Care, Surgical Intermediate Care, Neuroscience Critical Care, Medical Intensive Care, Medical Intermediate Care, Emergency Department and Peri-Anesthesia.

RN's will need four years of experience in the field of critical care nursing, including the Emergency Department.

Registered Nurse with a license to practice professional nursing in the state of Pennsylvania or a Registered Nurse from another state with a Temporary PA Practice Permit
