Provide overall strategic direction and vision to drive national sales growth and improve profitability.
Develop and execute annual sales plans consistent with brand and marketing objectives.
Work collaboratively with Marketing to identify new market opportunities and key customer targets to grow sales and meet overall sales goals across channels.
Review and analyze sales performance against programs and plans to determine effectiveness and make changes as necessary to exceed business objectives.
Prepare and present week/month/quarter sales and profitability reports that show current sales activity, projected/forecasted activity, and potential opportunities for sales and profit expansion.
Develop a world-class customer experience for each of our major customer segments in the Wholesale business.
Define and implement world-class sales processes, including process design and implementation, system support, analytics and metrics.
Develop and manage a national sales budget.
Build flexibility to enable contingency plans for changing market conditions.
Create a high performing Sales team through leadership, individual/ team development plans, effective performance management, enhanced business analytics, on the job coaching and constantly raising standards.
Establish an operating model and environment to deliver strong team performance in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
Build functional expertise in team members, including partnership across the enterprise to develop skill sets and share best practices within the function.
Own talent acquisition, training and development.
Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related field. MBA preferred.
15+ years of business to business sales experience. Industry experience preferred.
Dynamic leadership skills and proven ability to lead a large, cross-functional team.
Strong results orientation; demonstrated ability to take action and drive results.
Excellent communication and presentations skills. Ability to communicate and persuade a wide range of audiences from senior management to independent customers.
Demonstrated ability to remain flexible while responding quickly to changing priorities in a matrix structure and fast-paced environment.
Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills; demonstrated analytic and information driven experiences.
Demonstrated focus on customer service.
Experience in selling B2B to multiple channels, jobber, installer, including big box retailers and wholesale distributors; experience in selling B2C to e-commerce customers.
