Job Brief The Tier 1 Engineer is responsible for the successful onboarding and implementation of client projects.This includes, but is not limited to, onboarding client projects, configuring job specifications/mapping, scripting, and coding, actively participating throughout implementation, providing go-live and technical support, supporting production bug fixes and building tools to automate/improve subsystems and components. The Tier 1 Engineer is capable of working with minimum supervision, communicate clearly and concisely throughout the organization, and ensures that all work is completed according to schedule. Work weeks are usually 40-50 hours. ResponsibilitiesPrepares internal work in accordance with technical, operational and customer requirements.Completes on-boarding of new customer jobs, marketing campaigns, backers, etc., including adding configurations to the application portal, importing settings, mapping, scripting, developing and validating adherence to customer requirements and project schedulesCommunicates project status and disseminates project information to the Scrum Master on a regular basisDetermines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.Improves operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.Completes testing/QA to ensure accuracy and integrity of development and outputProviding necessary production support as issues arrive on a daily basis ensuring timely resolution and complete communicationMust conduct yourself in the spirit of our core valuesUpdates job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.Protects operations by keeping information confidential.Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.Develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle. Required Skills and ExperienceA bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline is required.Minimum two years of experience independently designing and implementing small or medium-sized software systems and components.Successful design and implementation of multiple software components and subsystems.Ability to communicate the design and implementation of software systems including relevant strengths/weaknesses and reasons for implementation decisions..Net development stack experience requiredExperience with C#, ASP.Net, SQL and a Microsoft Knowledge of dev operating system and at least two application, database, messaging or web server systems.Experience working with Agile project methodology.Working knowledge of Workflow and issues statuses in JIRA with a scrum mode a plus.
