SUMMARY Drives truck equipped with dump body to transport and dump loose materials. Perform necessary piping and laboring functions in support of Utility Construction Crew.. DUTIES
  • Transports and dumps loos materials such as sand, gravel, earth, stone, asphalt or waste products. May also move forms, lumber, and other construction materials.
  • Move hand and foot controls to jerk truck forward and backward to loosen and dump materials adhering to body.
  • Inspects and maintains equipment as required.
  • Dig, spread and level dirt, gravel or sand using hand tools.
  • Mix, pour and spread concrete and asphalt using hand tools.
  • Perform a variety of machine and non-machine tasks such as removing forms, placing pipe in trench, jackhammer and tapping.
  • Exercise proper care, maintenance and operator of company equipment.
  • Work harmoniously, co-operatively and courteously with others at all times.
  • Adhere to all Company Safety Policies.
  • Performs miscellaneous other duties and responsibilities as required.
  • REQUIREMENTS
  • Prefer a high school diploma or equivalent education and experience.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Workers should be able to follow specific directions, perform a variety of duties which may change, work within precise limits or standards of accuracy, make decisions based on measurable criteria, follow specific directions and perform a variety of duties which may change often and are for a short duration.
  • Capable of passing required DOT physical examination.
  • Must possess a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and a knowledge of commercial driving regulations a roads is required.
