The Regional Head of Learning is responsible for developing, communicating and implementing the right learning strategy to help the regional Sales & Account Management (SAM) team meet their business goals. This is inclusive of all knowledge-based and skills-based learning, on-boarding initiatives plus Sales Manager training. Successful performance in the role will involve properly understanding both the SAM business goals and the regions highest strategic priorities, building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships through regular dialogue at all levels, plus delivering learning initiatives which will lead to improved business performance. Relationships with SAM, Customer Proposition, Market Development, HR, Marketing and Finance will also be essential to ensure alignment in approach. Clear communication of both short-term and longer-term learning plans is essential, in addition to systematic management of the regional learning team plus all inbound learning requests. Key Responsibilities Comprehensive and structured stakeholder management, with regular two-way communication at multiple levels and using multiple channels (regular face-to-face and virtual engagement via both ad-hoc and recurring meetings) Adopt a performance consulting approach during engagements with SAM stakeholders, where we ensure a shared understanding of the business goals plus success metrics Managing a team of regional Learning Managers, ensuring all team members are focused on the highest priority initiatives and deliver learning to a high standard to help improve business performance Close collaboration with Sales Operations, Market Development, Customer Proposition and HR on a co-ordinated learning approach in the region Thorough project planning for agreed learning initiatives in terms of timeline and resource deployment Collaborate, prioritise and track spend of the local flexible budget for L&D initiatives Prepare and analyze post-learning intervention surveys plus periodic scorecards, for reporting onwards to L&D management plus local SAM management Help organize the deployment of third party vendor resources for both skills and knowledge based learning, as determined relevant and necessary by SAM plus L&D leadership Engage in on-going communications and follow up with Frontline employees and managers to ensure progress on key learning programs is continual and commitment to learning is progressing as agreed Conduct regular one to ones plus team meetings with learning team members to ensure the SAM vision and priorities are clearly understood and factored into our learning activities Skills/Experience Excellent organizational, communication and project management skills for learning program management Proven people management experience, with a disciplined approach to ensure all team members are meeting agreed targets for learning design, creation and delivery In-depth understanding of all aspects involved in running successful learning programs; this includes agreeing clear objectives, gaining stakeholder buy-in, course design, pre-work, delivery, follow-up and success measurement Previous experience of working within a sales organization Strong experience of co-ordinating all aspects of blended learning programs for a diverse and potentially large audience of learners Strong understanding of the regional market, Refinitiv frontline roles and products In-depth knowledge of high priority learning and business projects and timelines Excellent understanding of our internal customers and their needs, with ability to build good working relationships across the organization Setting high standards, taking ownership, and driving accountability for results The Financial and Risk Business of Thomson Reuters is now Refinitiv.
