Positioned within the heart of the Lancet's US Strategy, this role will develop programs of outreach that focuses on the agreed business goals. Ranging from attracting high quality content, building key partnerships and working with key academic institutions this role will be critical in building out The Lancet's scientific footprint within the US.

Main Activities and Responsibilities

Clinical Trials Acquisition

Working with the Executive Editors across The Lancet, build and maintain an Online Trails database that provides accurate reporting of clinical trials nearing completion. This system will enable prioritization of outreach by all Editors and support the recruitment of key trials. This report will form the basis of the Editorial Clinical Trials meetings.

Outreach Academic Programmes

Working with the Executive Editor and the Marketing Team develop a programme of on site and online workshops that fosters clinical trial acquisition.

Special Projects Coordinator

Supporting the Executive Editor through coordination of all special projects (ie US Commissions & Series). Ensuring clear and thoughtful administration to engage external authors, arrange meetings and facilitate the project through to manuscript acceptance.

Press Office Support

Working closely with the Global Press Office on daily queries and processes.

Editorial Support

Be a point of support for editorial workflows - aiding the cascade pipeline, and supporting author questions and queries through their submission process.
