Role: Microstrategy Admin Location: Phoenix, AZ Duration: 8+ Months Interview Mode: Telephonic/Skype Job Description Must Have Skills: MicroStrategy Development/Architecture skills, MicroStrategy Platform Administrator, Enterprise manager, Integrity manager, command manager, Narrowcast experience MicroStrategy Administration Expert working knowledge of Business Intelligence Tools, including: MicroStrateg and Informatica. Advanced experience with UNIX and ETL preferred. Desired Skills: Experience with various databases, including: Teradata, Oracle or SQL Server preferred Project Details: Managed Services engagement for Batch Operations and ETL production support Job Roles / Responsibilities: Manage the entire Microstrategy platform and perform routine Admin activities like: 1. Fix broken reports. 2. Installing and setting up Intelligence server and Web servers. 3. Monitor the health of the BI platform and take corrective actions using Microstrategy system manager and operations manager. 4. Perform access and user management. 5. Monitor the delivery of reports to the business sent by Narrowcast. 6. Perform routine metadata refreshes between Production and DEV/QA environments. 7. Perform regular hotfix upgrades. Create Microstrategy schema objects and application objects, using Microstrategy desktop and architect. Use report services to create dashboards to create summary level reports using multiple datasets. Conduct meetings to gather user/business requirements and carry out code quality reviews with the users and review the documentation for the same. Use transformation for comparative reports that help in deeper analysis of the data for the business users. Migrate packages of new Microstrategy reports from QA to production. Compile and support issues related to Microstrategy based iOS mobile apps. Perform routine performance testing of current Microstrategy cluster to account for growing user traffic. Analyze SQL queries generated by the reports for erroneous results. Perform validation/testing of reports using Microstrategy Integration Manager. Manage Subscriptions and Report Delivery Services in Narrowcast. Familiarity with Incident and Change management life cycle. Good communication and analytical skills are required as frequent interaction with the Microstrategy users is required.
