Description SAIC is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior UI/UX Designer for a large-scale agile software development and integration project with a Federal government agency. Senior UI/UX Designer Job Duties/Responsibilities: Create and design web elements that optimize user interaction and experience. Work with team leadership to create wireframes, storyboards, and conceptual models for testing and building a clean UI for the best user-experience. Build wireframes and storyboards to conceptualize design. Collaborate on scenarios, end-to-end experiences, and screen designs. Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience. Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions. Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback. Conduct user testing of applications, software, and websites with Test Engineers. Define visual elements, product elements, and overall design. Modify existing, create new and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards. Member of the agile development team; participate in the agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, iteration review, and retrospective. Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional application interfaces. Provide guidance and recommendation on software design and development best practices to both software developers, key leadership and the customer. Use CA Agile Central daily to track tasks. Demonstrate analytical capabilities, strong writing skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrate ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision. Use quality management tools such as CA Agile Central and Subversion. Use automation tests and/or frameworks such as Selenium, Postman, JMeter, SoapUI, etc. Use analytical skills to uncover root causes to issues.Qualifications Senior UI/UX Designer Required Qualifications: Bachelor??s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical degree and at least nine (9) years of related experience. Nine (9) or more years of experience developing user interface solutions for complex, multi-platform enterprise-level software applications and projects. At least five years of experience using one or more of the following wire framing tools: Mockplus, Axure, Balsamiq, Mockups, Justinmind, Fluid UI, MockFlow, UXPin, Proto.io. At least three years of experience working within the Agile Scrum methodology. At least three years of experience designing web-based solutions, cross browser compatible solutions, and Section 508 compliance. At least five years of experience working with end user stakeholders at various levels of the organization to design effective user interfaces and work with developers to implement design. Must be local to the Washington, DC area, or willing to relocate to the Washington, DC area. Desired Qualifications: Certification or training in Human Factors Engineering is a plus. Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), PMI Agile Certified Professional (ACP) and/or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications is a plus. Clearance: The candidate must also be able to acquire a Public Trust clearance.
