The Material Technology Group works closely with Saint Gobain s various business units to solve problems, develop new materials and products, and improve manufacturing processes to support the development of innovative products as required by our High Performance Solutions and Building Materials Divisions. The candidate will be expected to manage R&D projects in the areas of formulation, characterization, and processing of polymeric-based materials with a specific focus on the stabilization of different formulation using surfactants, additives, and complexes to allow efficient wet-coating and extrusion processes for the development of new innovative products. The candidate will spend most of his/her time at designing experiments, performing laboratory work, analyzing/present data in written and oral format, and closely work with the rest of the team in the field of Polymeric Materials Development. The candidate with give direction of junior engineers, technicians and other participants during experiments at the lab, pilot, & large industrial scales.
Carries out role as primary project investigator for 2-3 projects

Bachelor with 7+ years of experience, MS with 3+ years of experience, or entry level PhD Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or Chemical Engineering.
Industrial Internship of R&D experience with formulation/mixing /dispersion of polymeric materials preferred
Industrial Internship of R&D Experience with wet-coating and extrusion processes preferred
