Overview

* A Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies, Business, Communications, Education, Liberal Arts, Marketing, Social Work-, Sociology, Theology, or other discipline similarly applicable to the understanding and furtherance of integrated Salvation Army mission and the comprehensive stewardship of Salvation Army mission resources.
* An understanding of and commitment to Salvation Army mission and the comprehensive stewardship of Salvation Army mission resources.
* 5 years of experience with The Salvation Army or equivalent familiarity.
* Knowledge and understanding of Salvation Army history and corporate culture.
* Commitment to and understanding of local Salvation Army mission- Corps and Divisional Headquarters. Understanding of both un-contracted and contracted partnership services.
* Ability to collaborate with and receive direction from immediate supervisor.
* Good communication skills in relation to immediate supervisor and partners.
* Ability to communicate and collaborate.
* Knowledge of, curiosity about, and commitment to cultivate relationships with Salvation Army partner (or potential partner) agencies- public, private, private faith-based.
* Experience with Gang/Drug Set/Crew activity a plus. Comfortable working with those who are living in that environment.
* Ability and aptitude to work with colleges and universities with a view to establishing and enhancing internship program both at the Corps and Divisional level.
* Commitment to and aptitude for advocacy and networking.

Responsibilities

* Report to immediate supervisor regarding all \"Ceasefire\" work.
* Manage all aspects of \"Ceasefire\" work.
* Work directly with NYPD's Office of Collaborative Policing on all aspects of The Salvation Army's involvement in this program.
* Oversee all case management as it relates to the \"Ceasefire\" program.
* Oversee the Bronx Citadel social worker only on matters related to \"Ceasefire\"
* Attend all \"Call Ins\" as part of \"Ceasefire\" responsibilities.
* Work with grant writing department to identify sources of funding for \"Ceasefire\"
* Work with immediate supervisor as it relates to the funding of \"Ceasefire\" client expenses.
* Work with Social Services Director and all Departments to establish Pathway of Hope (POH ).
* Intentionally and regularly nurture relationships with local colleges and universities to establish and enhance The Salvation Army's internship program.
* Be responsible for the correct placement of interns in appropriate social services and Corps settings.
* Ensure that internship participants receive the best training and experience possible.
* Establish and maintain Interagency working relationships with other organizations - public sector, private sector, and private sector faith-based.
* Contribute to education and consciousness-raising about TSA mission and mission alignment among all constituencies.
