Job description:

The responsibilities of the Internal Control Lead are:
- To develop, update, document, implement and manage a best-practice Internal Control Framework for SBM
- Coordinate the overall internal control yearly campaign in the Group.
- Oversee the Financial Authority Level framework
- Promote internal control and financial authority level culture in the Company and increase stakeholder s awareness

This includes:

  • Defining and expanding the scope of the Internal Controls Framework, both in terms of business and geographical areas;
  • Leading internal control workshops with process owners to identify / re-validate risks to the achievement of financial and operational objectives, as well as associated controls / control gaps;
  • Ensuring comprehensive process flow charts and Control Matrices for all in-scope processes related to main Group locations are in place and effective;
  • Develop improvements, follow up of remediation plans and mitigation controls in a pro-active manner;
  • Transfer and share knowledge with and between Organizations and Countries in the context of an expanding scope
  • Build on the opportunity represented by the implementations of Human Capital Management and Enterprise Resource Planning systems to develop and embed internal controls and ensure adequate segregation of duties
  • Requirements :

    - M.B.A in Finance or equivalent degree with strong focus on financial reporting, internal audit or equivalent proven experience in developing and implementing control frameworks.
    - Fluent English, especially good written skills
    - Experience : 6 to 8 years experience in an international al audit firm or similar experience in an international related environment.
    - Key technical and personal skills :

  • A detailed understanding of risk-based approach and internal control requirements in a complex organization
  • Excellent communication and organization skill, ability to interact with all levels of management, build networks and coordinate
  • Adaptability and flexibility: adapt easily to changing business needs and work responsibilities. Adapt approach and methods to achieve successful solutions and results in dynamic situations
