**Overview** The WASAdmin, Webshere Server Administrator Specialist is an IT engineer responsible for all stages of the WAS Infrastructure including the installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching of the WAS servers and the corresponding IBM HTTP servers. + This role also includes supporting in-house and third party developed applications with tasks such as: + Creating Dynamic Clusters + Creating application configuration for Databases, Wesbphere MQ + Integration with LDAP + Encryption with SSL certificates + Scripting of various tasks using wsadmin and jython **Responsibilities** + Install and configure Websphere Application Server V8.5.5.X.0.x and V8.5.5.X on Linux / Windows / AIX. + Install and configure IBM HTTP Server V8.5.5.X on Linux / Windows / AIX. + Configure LDAP such as Microsoft Active Directory and Novell e-directory for WebSphere Application Servers. + Configure Datasource with Oracle Databases. + Deployment of Enterprise applications, installation and configuration of new application, configuring and/or modifying application content. + Automation of the enterprise application deployment process. + Install, configure and maintain SSL Certificates. + Troubleshoot and Support problem solving for any issues related to all the above platforms and products. + Drive the investigation and resolution of issues effectively. + Maintain and Upgrade new versions/technologies for WAS. + Apply WebSphere patches & upgrades. + Apply maintenance changes (within the Change Management Process). + Contributing and participating in putting new deployments in place. + Delivery of project based work to agreed target dates. **Qualifications** + Operating Systems: AIX,Red Hat Linux and Windows 2012/2016. + Knowledge of Products:-WebSphere Application Server-IBM HTTP Server + Knowledge of configuring standalone and federated repositories. + Strong scripting skills including wsadmin scripting, jython, jacl and shell scripts. + Excellent verbal, written and communication skills. + Proficient using MS Office, Excel, Word, Power Point and Visio. + Ability to work in a team environment. + Possess good communication and presentation skills . + Adaptability to change to embrace the continuous changes in IT. + Possess ability to work within strict deadlines. + Hard working and innovative. + Possess the ability to inspire and motivate others. + Ability to be a self-starter and work independently. + Detail oriented with excellent problem solving abilities and ability to perform under pressure in a challenging environment. + Highly developed sense of accountability and follow through with ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks, projects and goals. + Ability to work on weekends _from time to time_ for maintenance, production implementations, recovery tests and system verifications / validations. + Ability to address production issues from home outside of normal business hours. **Career Category** _Information Technology_ **Position ID** _2019-0323_ **Type** _Full-Time_ SMBC is an EO employer - M/F/Veteran/Disability
