**Unit Description**



**Sodexo** is seeking a **Executive Sous Chef** for a Senior living community in the **Hartford, Connecticut** area. This Chef Manager will assist with menu management, ordering and inventory processes, scheduling support, training and HACCP standards. Hands on production, culinary support and oversight of quality.



**We are looking for candidates who will:**



+ Oversee the daily food production including production planning and controls;

+ ensure Sodexo Culinary Standards including recipe compliance and food quality;

+ have high expectations for quality of food and presentation;

+ have the ability and willingness to develop and train employees;

+ have knowledge of special diets and allergens; and

+ Knowledge of Sodexo Food Management System (FMS) is preferred.



**The ideal candidate has:**



+ excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest of standards and implements company policies;

+ previous experience working in a high volume facility; and

+ strong supervisory skills.

**Position Summary**



Responsible for the day to day execution of the menus & culinary deliverables. May be responsible for smaller units within a multi-location.

- Handles administrative functions.



**Qualifications & Requirements**



Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent

Basic Management Experience - 1 year
