Responsibilities

Key responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

* Responsible for the overall planning, organization, and execution of E-Commerce, both auction and retail, for Sotheby's Wine
* Build out E-Commerce team to enable rapid growth of both auctions and retail businesses
* Plan and oversee execution of digital and website activities including: content, merchandising, product recommendations, and other on-site conversion optimization tools
* Proactively gather and utilize intelligence from ecommerce, digital marketing, customers, competition, and other verticals to support the expansion and optimization of existing products and initiatives that will drive increased customer acquisition and retention
* Work closely with Wine Marketing Manager, Head of Wine Retail, and Sotheby's E-Commerce and Marketing teams to create, maintain, circulate and execute a marketing calendar
* Work cross-functionally with internal teams to support digital initiatives
* Work closely with IT and development team to plan and manage the release of new website features and enhancements
* Other duties and tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Desired skills and experience:

* Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field.
* Minimum of five (5) years of experience in eCommerce and Website management, preferably in the wine category
* Must have technical understanding of website and web technologies and tools
* Must be an excellent communicator both orally and in writing with strong emphasis to on-follow-up and organization capability
* Must be extremely detail-oriented with project management experience and the ability to multi-task and provide world-class customer service while handling high volumes at a fast pace.
* Must be a team player with proven problem-solving
* Must have a strong work ethic with the ability to work independently
* Must be available to work varied hours (including evenings and weekends) to accommodate volume fluctuations caused by sales cycles, seasonality, events, etc
