The Job

The Senior Manager of Entertainment Sales Research will assist the Vice President and team in managing all custom research programs and initiatives on behalf of TBS and TNT ad sales

This includes a qualitative/quantitative research focus in support of ad effectiveness, ad format innovation, audience profiling, and evaluation of shifting industry trends

The Day-to-Day

* Duties and Responsibilities Leads project management on campaign measurement studies and ad effectiveness, including brand lift, attribution-based, and social/branded content research efforts
* Collaborates closely with Sales, Content Partnerships, and client teams to align measurement solution with client objectives and campaign composition
* Manages end-to-end process including research proposal, study design, vendor management, analysis, and presentation
* Works with Vice President to manage and advance Custom Team initiatives
* May manage Managers, Analysts and/or Senior Analysts to include their development, providing coaching and feedback, performance management and providing day to day oversight including directing, assigning and prioritizing work
* Applies working knowledge of the media industry to develop and test new metrics and concepts affecting the business
* Stays abreast of industry vendors and methodologies to maintain best in class research and measurement solutions



The Essentials

* The candidate must have a background in research design and analysis and will have first-hand experience working with ad effectiveness research for an advertiser, agency, publisher or vendor
* The ideal candidate will have an unrelenting curiosity about how things work, exceptional communication skills (with all levels), be a self-starter, have experience in a sales environment and have a passion for analytics and media
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, multi-tasking environment, in which attention to detail is expected
* Must be capable of data-driven storytelling, problem-solving, and critical thinking
* Bachelor's degree or higher; focus in business, marketing, advertising, economics, math or statistics a plus
* 8+ years' experience in custom research design and execution at a brand, research supplier, ad agency or media agency desired
* Knowledgeable in cross-platform analytics, and expert in media math
* Extensive experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods and vendors, including a familiarity with attribution and outcome-based solutions and vendors (e.g., Kantar Millward Brown, Latitude Research, Data + Math, Nielsen Catalina Solutions, Nielsen Buyer Insights, NinthDecimal, etc.)
* Capable of working successfully within a team as well as independently
* Possess exceptional project management skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage up
* Proficient with media research and analytics tool/applications (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Nielsen suite of tools, comScore, Lake5, ListenFirst, Shareablee, etc.)
