Job Overview
The Program Director will build the organization's capacity to use Human Centered Design for innovation around health service delivery processes. The Director will lead the Roll-out of our Innovation Center Implementation Grant, iterate on the learning from the roll-out and help us identify a long-term sustainable model for our Innovation Center.Through implementation of the Innovation Center Grant plan, the Director will lead system-wide efforts to develop our culture of innovation; build organizational skills and competencies in design thinking/human centered design; establish infrastructure to support project-based learning experiences; develop measures of success and monitors progress; and ultimately formulate a plan for sustainability beyond grant-funded program phase. The Director will be responsible for implementation of The Nicholson Foundation grant and achievement of the objectives and deliverables as specified in the grant proposal.
Responsibilities
* Bachelor's degree required; Master's strongly preferred
* 7+ years' experience in healthcare, and/or human centered design and/or performance improvement with five to seven years of project management and/or operations experience in either private- or public-sector health organizations strongly preferred
* Strong project management skills and demonstrated experience managing complex projects involving a variety of stakeholders
* Ability to successfully implement strategic plans to ensure the growth and sustainability of the innovation center beyond the launch phase grant
* Ability to articulate vision through prototyping, scenario modeling and strategic roadmaps
* Ability to build new programs/services
* Forward-thinking and skilled at transitioning from current state to future state
* Comfortable with ambiguity and able to reconceive strategies and plans to respond to new learning and emergent issues
* Ability to lead across departments - with both formal and matrixed reporting structures.Proven results building relationships with various disciplines
* Ability to work in a team environment with a diverse group of organizations.Strong team facilitation skills
* Strong communication skills - both verbal and written
* Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to and appreciation for diverse viewpoints and different communication styles
* Demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude focused on identifying solutions to challenges within the organization and related to programs
