A role with Target Digital Media & Search means being close to the action of delivering profitable sales to Target.com and bringing the business s multichannel vision to life. You ll create and implement industry-leading digital media plans for Brand & Category Marketing while staying on the cutting edge of emerging digital media innovations. Cultivating an environment of full-team engagement, leadership and personal development, you ll be a champion for open communication and program transparency.
As an Email Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in the message planning and execution of the 14B personalized emails sent each year. You will analyze the guest and product/category demands and plan effective content to meet the demand. You will partner with Site Merchandising and other internal teams to understand enterprise promotions, new assortments, emerging services, and key trends to inform the content you create. You will determine & provide email message, product category, and creative layout direction to internal creative partners; and QA the creative assets for accurate copy, url tracking parameters, and landing pages. You will forecast expected performance of your category, measure results, draw insights, and optimize for the future. You will tag content appropriately with meta data so that corresponding audience decisions are effectively made. You will test and measure category and cross-category messages for clear messaging & optimal engagement.

About you:

  • Four plus years of experience in Email, Ecommerce, Direct Marketing, CRM, or Web Analytics related field
  • Understanding of how websites and the internet works regarding tracking/tagging, URLs, redirects, cookies, app linking and tracking, and web analytics
  • Ability to balance the art and science of digital guest response marketing
  • Passion for customers: desire to understand how to engage customers better
  • Passion for technology: desire to find new ways to deliver digital marketing
  • Inquisitiveness: constantly willing to learn and challenge the status quo
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical skills, and understanding of query logic statements
  • Ability to work through ambiguity
