Description: Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer, the Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations is responsible for all aspects of fundraising from foundations, corporations and government agencies to support the School's academic and performance programs, scholarship, events, special projects and general operations in line with priorities and annual fiscal goals.

Responsibilities:

* Develop a comprehensive strategic fundraising plan to meet short and long term goals to elicit support from institutional funders.
* Identify and research foundation and corporate donors, develop cultivation and solicitations strategies, prepare written materials and grant proposals including financial information, oversee grant acknowledgement and reporting process.
* Develop strategic corporate partnerships and oversee sponsorship benefit creation and implementation through ongoing negotiations and stakeholder meetings, both internally and externally.
* Work with Juilliard faculty and staff to identify fundable programs and projects and to obtain information for proposals, pitches and reports as well as to ensure appropriate donor credit in various School publications and website (if necessary).
* Train and oversee the duties of the Development Associate, Foundation and Corporate Relations.
* Interact with the President of Juilliard and other high-level administrators, donors and the Board of Trustees, as necessary.
* Advance Juilliard's relationships with institutional funders and prospects through a personalized approach to stewardship.

Qualifications:

* B.A. degree
* Minimum 6-8 years of professional experience in foundation and corporate fundraising in an arts organization or educational institution. Proven track record of success in securing 6-7 figure gifts.
* Strong organizational and project management skills.
* Advanced written skills with the ability to write persuasively and quickly.
* Strong interpersonal skills (communication, teamwork and collaboration)
* Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
* Supervisory experience
* Interest in and knowledge of the performing arts (dance, drama, music)
* Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Officer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of Raiser's Edge or familiarity with database programs.
