Seasonal Driver & Holiday Programs Assistant

FLSA Status:Seasonal Full-time, Non-Exempt (November 29, 2019 to December 27, 2019)
Hours Per Week:40 hours
Schedule:Monday Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM (early morning, evenings, and weekends as needed)
Support all the Greater Hartford holiday programs which includes helping coordinate Angel Tree, Holiday Store, and Adopt-a-Family pick-up dates and routes. Responsible for loading, unloading, and driving a truck or van to pick up holiday items.

+ Help schedule and coordinate pick up routes and delivery of Angel Tree and Adopt-a-Family donations.
+ Drive a 15-17 truck or passenger van to various locations throughout Greater Hartford area to collect items such as food, clothing, and toys and deliver them to The Salvation Army.
+ Load and unload holiday items such as food, clothing, and toys.
+ Interact with staff, donors, and volunteers in a professional and courteous demeanor - profanity or other abusive language or gestures are strictly prohibited.
+ Track collection of holiday items and keep items separate and organized.
+ Communicate all barriers and issues to direct supervisors.
+ Accurately complete a time card each day.
+ Practice safe driving habits and follow all state/national safety regulations and standards.
+ Dress neatly.
+ Keep interior of vehicles clean of debris and clutter.
+ Must possess a valid motor vehicle drivers license.
+ Must be able to pass The Salvation Armys online driver safety course.
+ Shall maintain a valid drivers license, free of restriction by the granting state and Chesterfield Insurance.
+ Must possess a positive and professional
+ Able to work well independently.
+ Ability to follow verbal directions and adapt to changing schedules/routines.
+ Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
+ Reliable and punctual.
+ Ability to drive in inclement weather, such as light snow.
+ Strong customer service and time management skills.
+ Must possess a positive and professional attitude.
